Hank Brodt is a Holocaust survivor who allowed us the privilege to hear his story of the living conditions in the concentration camps. When focusing no the death aspect of the camps told the school that when at the camp there were two dividing lines. The first line was for those who were able to work. The second was for those who were not capable to work and hank described that he was sent into this line because he was a young boy, but was then switched into the other line because he lied about his age. He described that they were forced to walk everywhere and many people would pass out on the streets and die. Also he spoke about witnessing an attempted suicide, because his friend was fed up with the treatment. The situation was that his friend had is bread for the day taken away and given to another Jew, that may not seem like much but these people are starving and already so close to the edge.
